"There's a smile in every Hershey Bar"
Our next stop on our whirlwind vacation was actually Intercourse, PA.....we didn't take many pictures of Intercourse - sorry - couldn't pass that up! But we actually didn't take a lot of pictures there, but it was a neat experience to see the Amish and the shopping - my goodness - saw lots of goodies that wanted to come home with us, but we resisted. But the sweets there were out of this world! The peanut brittle was to DIE for!
That afternoon we headed over to Hershey, PA.....the home of - you guessed it - Hershey's chocolate. What a neat place! In downtown Hershey, all the streetlights have little Hershey Kisses atop them.....super cute! We went to the Hershey's World of Chocolate. There is a huge amusement park there (we did not attempt that) but we did venture into the Factory. That was a neat stop - and most things there are free!
The first thing we did was take the factory tour. It was a very Disney-like ride.....which you know is right up are alley!
That yummy syrup!
Some of our favorite treats!
The count of how many of each type of candy had been made that day.....pretty amazing!
Davis and I after the ride
Davis saw this and just had to give it a try! You put this bucket underneath this contraption and spin the wheel and Hershey Kisses come from the ceiling and drop into your bucket. It was really neat, but we are STILL eating Hershey Kisses
The next thing on our list was packing Hershey Kisses for soldiers overseas.
Davis packing his container.
After they packed it, the workers said each package needed some love, so the way they show love is by dancing. Here is Davis "dancing" I am sure he is thinking "There is no way I am going to dance for you crazy people"
He ended up getting a little more into it
And after a hard day's work, you always have to clock out!
It was a Hershey's Chocolate perfect kind of day.....but we had to move on......next stop.....Williamsburg!
